The Silver Stones, chaptor 1Two dobermans, one black the other rust, ran throught their home, which was only an abandoned house. The rust doberman jumped over one of the chairs their owner had left behind when they left. The black one quickly dashed ahead to cross the invisible finish line, not knowing that the rust doberman had changed where the finish line was. In her head of course.
"Watch and learn, Daisy!" they black doberman barked at his younger sister. "When I win, you'll have to catch my food for an entire week!"
Daisy looked at the think headed dufus. "Be ready to feel the pain of shame, Gabe! Hey, that kinda rymes." She ran up behind her brother, then lightly bit his tail. He turned to her with his teeth bared and eyes narrowed.
"You had better learn when you're cheating!"
Daisy stuck her tonge out at Gabe. "Beat you across the finish line." She stopped quickly and sat.
"Why did you stop?" he looked at her after stopping as well. "The finish line is by the bathroom."
"Not anymore, I changed it."
EasterRemember what you love,
you with sand in your teeth
and the feral burn of hunger
in your eyes.
God sends his regrets.
He made you grasping and slow,
in a late hour
when the wine washed low.
Remember what you love.
Fall to your knees in the toss
and the swell, quell
the appetite of the cold black sea.
Beg blessings for your home
and the salt-sick trees.
Reach what lies near:
the fat-faced child, the sweet-soft lamb;
tether the tantrum, trickle the blood.
Offer psalms to what is holy,
whisper the name of what you love
as it bobs in the bleak mad sea.
